There were those that made it out as if the Ghost Lord of Ghost Valley was a cruel man, but there was no cruelty to him. Everyone within his court was treated equally and fairly, which included his concubines. Some would probably mistake them for someone of his royal court if they didn't pay attention to how the concubines dressed. He did not care how they dressed or the way they chose to look as long as they were presentable and clean.
He had never had a problem out of any of his people in that respect. Unfortunately, he does have a favorite among those within his realm and they know it. Zhou Zishu had won his heart long before now. The moment the man was brought to him.
"You have outdone yourself today."
Not that Zishu didn't do that every day, but today seemed to just scream the other having outdone himself, the soft smile on Kexing's lips showing that he's pleased with said outcome.
Wen Kexing could be a cruel master. But when they're together, there is no fear in Zishu. He just has to keep himself safe, as it's known he is the Ghost Lord's favorite. He doesn't mind protecting himself.
And not just because Wen Kexing has won his heart too. He can't help how his heart leaps whenever he gets summoned, or has the chance to spend time with the other man.
He allows himself a smug little smirk at the comment. "I am pleased you approve," he murmurs. "How may I please you further?"
