[He sneaks into the apartment one morning, tiptoeing to Zishu's bed. The sight that greets him is adorable and he beams, wasting no time in removing his shoes and crawling into the bed. He came to check on the man, but since he is still slumbering, this is obviously the next best option.

Or maybe the best option period.]

[ Zishu has the habit now of snuggling whomever he ends up in bed with, whether he's awake or not. Now is no different. It helps that his subconscious recognizes Xingchen's presence as safe and warm. So when Xingchen slips under the blankets with him, he only rolls over to snuggle into the comforting warmth and slipping back into a deep, healing sleep. ]

[ Can't hear...his lips thin in fury and he's already moving to where he can hear his disciple. ]

I can hear you. Stay right there, I'm coming to you.

[ Zishu is visibly angry when he finds Chengling and takes him by the arm, looking him over intently.

But he knows first hand how challenging hearing loss can be, so returns to texting after a moment. ]

[He will not be stopped! After discovering that his network username has been changed to "snugglemonster", he has a fair idea who to blame. The Four Seasons Manor is almost too lovely and he is very nearly distracted by the delicate blooms.

But no. There is work to be done! Zhou Zishu will not escape!

Upon tracking down said man, Xingchen draws Shuanghua and announces:]

[ But is it a wrong designation? He doesn't think so! Zishu is out in one of his favorite places to meditate when Xingchen descends upon him, and the brandishing of Shuanghua with that announcement has his shoulders shaking and a grin spreads. He doesn't stand though. ]

(( Kexing all but comes bounding home, throwing open the door to reveal the puff of nine fluffy tails swishing happily. His hair has gone white as it often does when the tails appear, matching the elegant tails tipped in red. Even a pair of white fox ears perch upon his head. ))

[ Zishu loves that white hair and those beautiful tails and ears. His own fox features are hues of red and orange, tails waving idly behind him as he is seated comfortably on the couch in their rooms. His gaze is, naturally, fixed on the door even before his beloved bursts in, a quiet little smirk on his lips that only grows at Kexing's entrance. ]

A-Chen was marveling at your strength, Lao Wen. I think you should remind me of this too.

[ There's twitching ears and a scrunched up nose on the screen. She is a very confused kitten, at the moment. ]

[ There's an immediate answer of one concerned brother, ears perked forward and eyes narrow in worry. ]

It isn't long after their conversation that Wen Kexing returns to their home. He takes his time unpacking the shopping (mostly foodstuffs) before wandering the grounds back toward the bedroom he shares with Zhou Zishu. Seeking out his partner in their home is always a soothing task; even with their play-fight and discipline on his mind.

"A-Xu?"

Zishu has spent the time making a few preparations for when his beloved gets home. It's soothing, setting out the oil (scented by the same plum blossoms in their garden) and picking silk ribbons (red, naturally). He'd taken care in bathing, though his hair remained dry, and is just in his inner robe when Kexing comes calling for him.

It draws a slow grin from him as he takes a seat and pours two cups of wine. "Lao Wen," he answers, calling for his beloved just loud enough to be heard.
